Thanks so much to Josh Kryah for giving three of my weird God poems such a good home in Sou’wester, and to the generous people who workshopped them and made them better. They follow two gorgeous poems by Jennifer Atkinson, who was my professor for my very first college poetry workshop. It was one of my favorite classes, and one of the most important. She was kind, scrutinizing, and deeply engaging. Endlessly grateful for that wonderful experience.
